Step-by-step dental cleaning:

The deep cleaning consists of 3 procedures:

1. Supragingival scaling: It is the ultrasonic removal of calcified plaque attached to the tooth structure near the gum, commonly known as dental calculus, which cannot be removed with a toothbrush during routine cleaning. 4. Prophylaxis: It is the final finishing, polishing, and shining of the dental enamel, performed with a prophylactic brush and prophylactic paste.
